Valentine’s Day is officially less than a
week away. Are you ready? (Okay men, be ready. Don't get stuck in the crowd of people at Harris Teeter on the afternoon of Valentine's Day buying flowers!)
Whether it’s your spouse or significant
other, some thought needs to go into what you will be doing for the special
day. Here are a couple ideas from some

Most
men love watching some type of sports!
Ladies, think about getting tickets to his favorite team’s next
event. Then, go with him! Yeah, it may not be what you prefer, but he
will appreciate the fact that you are doing something he wants to do. And who knows ladies, maybe you can get a nice dinner in return?! If you
just can’t bear it, suggest that he makes a guy’s day out. Either way, you make him happy!

him in a Beer or Wine of the Month Club.
This subscription sends him different beers or wines monthly. Again, enjoy it with him or encourage him to
make it a monthly guy’s night.

Her:
Obviously,
women love nice jewelry, boxes of chocolates, and flowers showing up for all
her friends to envy. If you do any (or
all) of these things, take time to somehow make it very personal! An example would be what my husband did one
year; I received 8 roses for Valentine’s Day. Five of the roses were closed, and three were
fully bloomed and open. The card said “For
the five wonderful years before we got married, and for the three incredible
years of our marriage.” Be creative and
meaningful, those things will stick with a lady forever!
