Our company is very passionate about giving back, and we felt the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of the Greater Carolinas was one organization we wanted to support. Why? Simply because we have several people close to us that suffer from this disease.
This week marks MS Awareness Week. We will be sharing with you facts about the disease and opportunites of how you can join us in supporting the MS Society. Check out our ad on the MS Society of the Greater Carolinas Chapter Community Marketplace. We will be donating 2% of sales back to the MS Society of the Greater Carolinas. Also, we are in the process of putting a team together for Walk MS in Charlotte on May 19th. More to come on how you can donate or walk with us!
Here are a couple facts about the disease:
- MS is unpredictable disease of the brain and nerves.
- It is often disabling, but symptoms range from numbness and tingling in the extremeities to blindness and full paralysis.
- Affects:
- 15,000 people in the Carolinas
- 400,000 people in the US
- 2.5 million people worldwide
- There is NO cure!
The MS Society helps to provide people living with the disease to continue to move their lives forward while funding research for better treatments and a cure.
